Search (yes still)

I wanted to cross post this from the help desk by Audio_by_Goodwill as to keep everyone aprise of where we stand...

We have actualy found a few issues and started to address them tonight. Unfortunatly one of the issues is the custom Hostboard software was hard coded for a search limit due to
physical limitations which we were planning on addressing once we started to reach those limitations by breaking the search in to seperate functions. Unfortunatly it seems the hard code is section of code is generating an error due to size limitaiton.

Adam, is already on it and the had code will be fixed tomarrow in the AM PST.

And my appologies for not replying sooner. I was out with my race truck on Sunday and when I got home I was pretty much useless. Although the site has not been updated in a long time you can see the truck here...

The new system is a little different it does snapshot stuff to be lower load meaning this. When you first do a search it will show a cap of 220 but really it goes WAY beyond that and as you go further in the pages you will see that 220 go higher and higher till you reach the end. You can also skip using the select page drop down and move way head in pages then the default 5 above and below type thing. Again play with it but all results are there. Anything with over 3000 search results will not show up for instance if you do "the" or something like that it will cap it on what results show. You can do 2 word keywords now as well.

Test it out and let me know guys.

Remember you can go advanced search and search by thread title not posts to get less results or search by your forum only etc. There is a lot of customization you can do with the search

connection to 65.60.41.218:9312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused).

I just got the same connection failed error when attempting to search.
